Blue Chip Casino Opens New Hotel in Michigan

Blue Chip Casino Hopes to Attract More Casino Patrons as New Twenty Two Story Hotel Opens

With the global financial crisis getting the best of most casinos, the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana has hopefully found a way to cut back on their financial losses.

The casino has built a new twenty two story hotel as part of its amenities. This is also in addition to the already existing eight story hotel with 184 rooms that Blue Chip Casino has. The new hotel features 302 new rooms, plus several bars and restaurants, a spa, and a 1,200-seater theater.

Blue Chip Casino hopes to financially recover from the tough competition in the Michigan area through the establishment of this new hotel. Ever since chief competitor Four Winds Casino Resort opened, Blue Chip Casino reportedly lost over 35% of its regular clientele. Costing $130 million, the new Blue Chip Casino hotel opened last Thursday with a fireworks show.

This move made by Blue Chip Casino aims not only to bring more people into their casino, but also to the area where there are also other casinos that have been struck by the financial crisis.
