Caribbean Nation Antigua and Barbuda Makes Use of New License Monitoring Program to Enhance Online Gaming Protocols
Antigua and Barbuda has stepped up with its license monitoring program as it employs a new state-of-the-art license monitoring software as part of its online gaming licensing framework.
The Caribbean nation has been the first nation to license sports betting and gaming online in 1994. Since then, it has implemented stringent licensing practices that enhance compliance in the online casino world.
The new licensing program makes use of information systems and computer assisted auditing techniques (CAAT) to monitor the state of online casinos and ensure compliance to casino requirements. These requirements were made by the Department of Culture, Media, and Sport of the United Kingdom.
According to Director of Gaming for Antigua and Barbuda Kaye McDonald, their objective is to continuously implement the best practices when it comes to sport and casino gaming.
Online gaming licenses are all subject to these rigorous requirements so as to avoid money laundering. Contribution to the Responsible Gambling and Gambling Addiction Research and Education Fund is a licensing requirement for all online casinos. Most online casinos offer favorite casino games such as online roulette, online poker, and online blackjack.
